Privacy Policy

Your household details are personal, and we treat them that way. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

1. What runs in your browser stays in your browser

When you use the planner, the answers you enter are processed on your own device to produce your estimate. We do not need, and by default do not receive, the details of who lives in your home. Your plan is computed for you, locally.

2. What we collect — only when you choose

• Anonymous improvement data (opt-in): If you tick “share anonymously” when exporting, we keep an anonymised copy of your inputs — figures and household profile with no name, email or anything that identifies you — to improve the tool. You can decline; your plan works the same.
• Contact & feedback: If you email us or use the feedback form, we receive what you send (including your email) and use it only to reply and, if you ask, to let you know when things are ready.
• Detailed-plan orders (when offered): If you request a detailed plan, we collect your email and the household inputs you submit in order to prepare and deliver it. We use these only to make and send your plan. We keep them no longer than needed for that and reasonable follow-up, then delete them. We do not sell them or share them with advertisers.

3. What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data. We don’t show ads. We don’t build advertising profiles. We don’t share your identifiable information with third parties except where strictly needed to deliver something you asked for, or where required by law.

4. Security & retention

We take reasonable steps to keep what you send us secure, and we keep it only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it for. Order and contact data is deleted after it has served its purpose. No online service can promise perfect security, but we don’t hold what we don’t need.

5. Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email info@emberline.in. You can use the whole free planner without giving us any personal information at all.

6. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be reflected here.
