Here’s the thinking behind your sanitation plan, sized to your household.

Several streams, held apart. Excreta, the declared personal streams, solid waste, and used water — each with its own handling.

Two switches: flush & compost. A twin-pit composting latrine with a flush primary and a dry backup covers you whether or not the water’s running.

Used water is a resource. Bathing and laundry make 100+ L a day — routed well, it flushes and waters the garden, roughly halving fresh-water need.
