Free short courses (2–3 months) in plumbing, electrician, carpentry, masonry, with a nationally-recognised NSDC certificate; stipend during training. RPL if you already have the skill.
Government trade schools — longer, deeper certification in electrical, plumbing, fitting and more.
~731 district farm-science centres (ICAR). Free, local, need-based training for households and rural youth — kitchen gardens, growing, food processing/preservation, mushroom & poultry.
Amateur (ham) radio operator licence — the ASOC exam gates lawful use of HF/long-range radio. Study via a local amateur radio club (ARSI).
Safe water, greywater reuse, composting-toilet and hygiene guidance is offered locally through KVKs and state health/sanitation departments.
